Wood Floor Chiseling
First we carefully hand-chisel the floor where nearby floor planks come together.
-
Hardwood Floor Pre-Restoration
After the chiseling is completed, there are gaps in the flooring that resemble the pattern of the wood floors.
-
Restored Wood Installation
Carson Medcalf and his team skillfully installed the pieces of new hardwood floor.
-
Sanding the Surrounding Area
After the new floor has been installed, the surrounding area is sanded as a part of the restoration.
-
Detailed Restoration Sanding
The remaining areas are sanded by hand to create a smooth and even surface for the new polyurethane or Glitsa finish.
-
A Finished Restored Floor
Finally, the floors receive several coats of polyurethane or Glitsa finish to create a seal and shine that lasts for years. And that's how you restore a hardwood floor.
Contact Carson Medcalf if you have a hardwood floor restoration project.
