Wood Floor Acclimation
Prior to starting any installation project, the new wood flooring must be delivered onsite and have a chance to go through an acclimation period lasting from one to two weeks. This process allows the moisture of the wood to achieve balance with the climate of your home.

The Installation Process
Once the wood is acclimated, it can now be installed. The installation process is the first stage on your journey to a brand new hardwood floor.

Generally, the installation can take 2-3 days, depending on square footage (assuming an average of 100 to 350 sq ft. installed per day, depending on layout of room(s).

Wood Flooring Materials
Wood flooring material usually comes shipped in pre-nested bundles.

Putting the Pieces into Place
Onces bundles are opened, individual boards are then put into place.

The floor is fastened down using 2'' flooring staples.

Using the special tools shown in previous picture, flooring boards are removed strategically in order to make the installation of the new wood blend seemlessly into the existing floor.

Finally, several coats of polyurethane or Glitsa finish is applied to the newly installed wood floor.
